Dr. Fraser is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo, where he also co-supervises the University of Waterloo Alternative Fuels Team.

His research interests include: alternative fuels, exergy analysis of energy conversion systems, in-cylinder combustion diagnostics and engineering, life cycle analysis, thermodynamics of ecosystems, vehicle fleet/power plant/industry emissions impacts (local and regional), and window thermal performance modelling
