About
I am currently conducting and analyzing interviews for my case study Wind energy: improving development practices and policy". My work, overall, addresses what best-practices should be for development processes and can be applied to other land-uses or electricity generation infrastructure in the future. Opposition to wind turbines in Ontario is a multi-faceted problem and my research has addressed concerns over health effects, which is a primary reason for opposition. These results have, and will continue to inform decision-making across the province and beyond. Further, the case study that I am currently working on will provide suggestions for improvement to planning processes and policy, in hopes of establishing a suggested method for implementing energy infrastructure such as wind turbines.
