The Faculty of Environment is proud to have Dr. Abul Quasem Al-Amin at the University of Waterloo, leading the discussion on topics including sustainable development and climate change. On Thursday January 24, Dr. Al-Amin will be in EV3 1408 presenting a talk called "Low Carbon Society by Introducing Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles in Malaysia: the Prospects and Challenges". Dr. Abul Quasem Al-Amin is a Professor at the Institute of Energy Policy and Research (IEPRe), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia. He also holds positions as a Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Environment, University of Waterloo; and the International Business School (IBS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
His areas of research include environmental modelling, sustainable development, and climate change. Previous projects have included climate change research with UNDESA as well as Asia Pacific Network & Institute for Global Environmental Strateies. He holds a PhD in Development and Environment Studies from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
