The OpenAccess Energy Summit, organized by the Waterloo Global Science Initiative (WGSI) in collaboration with AE4H, brought together an incredibly diverse set of current and future energy access leaders to develop a set of actionable recommendations to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy technologies in energy poor communities, from Canada’s North to Sub-Saharan Africa.

We are pleased to report that the process produced a number of valuable outcomes which will be sharpened and pursued by AE4H and our partners at WGSI over the coming months and years. Below, you will find a collection of fresh content that was created out of the summit process: from the 4-page ‘Communiqué’ that lays out the core recommendations, to a number of videos featuring keynote speeches and panel discussions on energy access, to a website featuring new in-depth journalism about energy poverty, and more.
