CLOSED opportunity - Two Free Tickets Available for AESP Fall Event - Oct. 24, 2013
Information about the AESP (and the event) may be found at http://www.aesp.org/displaycommon.cfm?an=1&subarticlenbr=212. Membership of the Association includes LDCs, gas utilities, service providers, technology companies etc.
They are wanting to involve more students in their events to encourage students into the field and also for the networking opportunities.
The tentative agenda is as follows:
10am - Welcome and Opening Remarks
1030am - Taylor Jackson will talk about his film, Startup Community
11am - Doug Cooper - from HYPERDRIVE at Communitech
1130am - lunch and Communitech Tours and networking
1pm - Alan Quarry from Quarry Communications
2pm til 3pm - Stories from local start ups
It is not explicitly 'energy-focused', though the 'crowd' probably will be (given the name of the Association).
Would you like one of these two remaining complimentary tickets? If you would - and are a full-time UW student - please reply to me, Ian Rowlands irowlands@uwaterloo.ca. I will take offers on 'first-come, first-served' basis. One more note: please only reply if you are 'virtually sure' you will attend, and be able to attend for the entire day. While I fully accept that 'things come up', I nevertheless want us (UW) to respond constructively to this kind offer from our utility friends by actually having students there. Indeed, they have said that they would like the students to be there for the entire day.
