Carbon-neutrality is a means, not an end. Global energy systems are currently one of the greatest drivers of human inequality, insecurity, and injustice. Fixing that requires redesigning the human relationship to energy systems. The University of Waterloo is holding its first-ever Worldwide Teach-In, on the 23rd & 24th of March 2022. The Worldwide Teach-in on Climate Justice aims to recruit 1,000 schools and universities around the globe to engage 500,000 students in learning about climate change and climate justice. The Teach-in is led by the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy and supported by several student partners and the Interdisciplinary Centre on Climate Change (IC3).
