As part of the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers (OGVG) commitment to ongoing research, OGVG is looking for letters of intent for projects that match criteria to be part of an Ontario sector-wide project, Doing More with Less – Increasing Production Value through Innovation and Efficiency, aimed at advancing innovative technologies and improving the production equation for the Ontario greenhouse vegetable growers. Letters of intent received from this process and not selected for inclusion in the sector-wide project will be considered for other research initiatives in the medium to long term.

Partnership Engage Grants are expected to respond to the objectives of the Insight program and the Connection program. They provide short-term and timely support for partnered research activities that will inform decision-making at a single partner organization from the public, private or not-for-profit sector. The small-scale, stakeholder-driven partnerships supported through the Partnership Engage Grants are meant to respond to immediate needs and time constraints facing organizations in non-academic sectors. In addressing an organization-specific need, challenge and/or opportunity, these partnerships let non-academic organizations and postsecondary researchers access each other’s unique knowledge, expertise and capabilities on topics of mutual interest.

SSHRC welcomes applications involving Aboriginal research, as well as those involving research-creation.

The EOI template should then be completed and submitted by 23:59 EDT, September 25, 2017. No EOI submitted after that deadline will be accepted. Natural Resources Canada recommends that proponents keep a record of the date and time their EOI was submitted as proof in case of any dispute.
