General Guidelines

Projects can be between 1-5 years in length, beginning April 1, 2018 until March 31, 2023.
Letters of Intent (LOI) are welcomed from:

   •  Educational, academic, and research institutions or centres,
   •  provincial, territorial or municipal government or agency,
   •  for-profit organizations,
   •  other interested stakeholders.

To be considered an LOI submission must include a project description and budget by completing the form before. Applicants who are successful in this process will be invited back to submit a full proposal. Those not selected will be retained and considered for future funding opportunities as they become available. Please see Deadlines section for relevant information.

Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered for the larger sector-wide project, but may be considered for future funding opportunities. Incomplete LOIs will not be reviewed. Please keep your receipt of acknowledgement for your records. LOI submissions are confidential and will not be shared outside of the internal decision committee. 

Areas of Interest

Proposals must align with one or more of the objectives identified in OGVG’s strategic plan, long-term research priorities and/or climate change strategy. Please contact OGVG if you require a copy of these documents.

Deadlines

December 22, 2017 – Call for letters of intent is open.

January 19, 2018 – Deadline for submission of completed LOI. (See How to Apply for full details.)

January 26, 2018 – Internal deadline for LOI review and decision. Those selected for full proposal will be notified.

February 23, 2018 – Deadline to receive full proposals from selected projects.

March 9, 2018 – Internal deadline for full proposal review and decision. Successful applicants will be notified.

April 1, 2018 – OGVG will be submitting proposals to appropriate Agri-Science program.
